Beer Geek Big Blend by Mikkeller is a stout aged in six different barrels—bourbon, brandy, cherry wine, cognac, tequila and whisky—and then blended back. Pours black with a high brown head that leaves nice lacing. The aroma is rich roasted malt, lots of coffee, light chocolate, vanilla, and some light fruit and oaky aromas. Taste is coffee and quite a bit of it. Lots of cocoa and vanilla, slightly sweet, light smoke, finishes again with a bit of coffee. Nice level of bitterness. Some rounded fruitiness. Not too heavy or imperial.

Stout is a black beer with a pronounced roasted flavour, often similar to coffee. Flavour ranges from malty sweetness to quite bitter. Colour is dark brown to black, with a long last thick creamy head. Aroma has touches of coffee, and often chocolate and dried fruits.
