Bruin tasting notes
Bruin is a Belgian Strong Ale by Achel Trappist Brewery in Belgium. It was first released in 2001, brewed by Trappist brewer Brother Antoine who moved in 1997 from Rochefort to Achel, making a very typical trappist beer, while very drinkable with aromas of dried fruit, yeast and caramel, and a bitter taste with caramel, coffee and a bitter finish ballanced with the sweetness of malts.
Belgian Strong Ale is a style that comprises from pale to bitter beers, with stronger yeast character than malt flavours, and higher alcohol than standard Belgian Ales. Colors tend to be light, and flavours smooth with some fruity and spicy notes.
