Rochefort 8 tasting notes

Rochefort 8 is the low ABV and more recent beer by Trappistes Rochefort. Pours a hazy reddish brown, with a big white tan head. Aromas are dry and fruity, with figs, dark fruits, citrus, orange and earthy malt. Taste is sweet, full bodied, with bread, dark fruits with a hoppy aftertaste. Biterness is well-balanced with the sweet fruit notes.

Belgian Strong Ale is a style that comprises from pale to bitter beers, with stronger yeast character than malt flavours, and higher alcohol than standard Belgian Ales. Colors tend to be light, and flavours smooth with some fruity and spicy notes.
